The Abbey Theatre remains true to its heritage, regularly re-animating plays from the Irish repertoire, as well as presenting classics from the European and world theatre and new plays by established writers. Recent productions include Turgenev's A Month in the Country, in a version by Brian Friel, The Bacchae of Baghdad by Conall Morrison and Homeland a new play by Paul Mercier.
